In January, 13,536 firms were established, a rise of 24.8 per cent from the same period last year and the highest number ever recorded for the first month of the year.
Viet Nam saw 8,320 newly established enterprises begin operations in the first month of this year with total registered capital of VND151.1 trillion (US$6.5 billion), according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI)’s Business Registration Management Agency.

The rate of enterprises registering online is expected to reach 30 per cent this year, said Tran Thi Hong Minh, head of the Business Registration Management Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
